The work I Brought You Orchid' fuses nude female forms with orchid shapes to challenge societal constructs and perceptions surrounding the female body, especially in Asian contexts. This piece addresses the paradox where female nudity is at once shamed, concealed, and fetishized. Orchids, esteemed as symbols of formality and elegance in Asian culture, serve as a metaphor in her art. This fusion is designed to highlight the irony in societal norms of what is deemed appropriate or forbidden. It ultimately aims to encourage a reevaluation of perceptions of femininity and societal norms.
